Node.js is gaining traction

Node.js is a Javascript application server based on Google V8 Javascript Engine. Node.js has a very good package manager these days, with a bunch of libraries on it. So it is the new buzz.

Mozilla Foundation seems taking it seriously, because we read on The Register today:

Mozilla is building its own version of Node.js – the increasingly popular open source platform for coding server-side applications with JavaScript – moving Node from Google’s V8 JavaScript engine to its own SpiderMonkey engine….
